The ACM Chapter International Conference on Educational Technology, Language and Technical Communication (ETLTC)

Workshop Plan
(Open to Registered Seminar Participants)

There are 4 Workshops: 2 Workshops will be prepared by the UoA-Students and 2 by the HSKA-Students.

1st Workshop MONDAY (28th Jan) 18:40 – 20:00: iLab1
Students of UoA and HSKA get to know each other. If there’s time left, UoA students can provide an introduction to their courses, and/or their projects from this semester so far.

2nd Workshop TUESDAY (29th Jan) 16:00 – 18:00: CALL 1
HSKA students give an overview of the basics of technical communication. It should become clear where the engineering subjects of the UoA students meets technical communication. UoA students should be prepared for the upcoming presentations of members of HSKA. All students can join one workshop.


3rd Workshop WEDNESDAY (30th Jan) 16:30 – 17:30: CALL 2
Interactive presentation of UoA students. Each of the UoA groups will separately practice their presentation in front of their HSKA friends in small groups. UoA students will provide a summary of the projects completed so far, including apps, 3D-printer, their thesis topics etc. There will be several workshops at one time and the students could split up and go in a workshop they’re interested in. It will all be in one room. 


4th Workshop WEDNESDAY (30th Jan) 18:45 – 20:00: CALL 2

Is expected to be similar to the 3rd workshop, and only HSKA students will offer different workshops related to content management, technical communication, and media engineering in small groups with UoA students in the audience. There will be several workshops happening at the same time, and students can split up and attend those presentations/discussions they prefer. UoA students can decide what subject they’re interested in.

  1. Please have another time assigned on Tuesday and Wednesday when you can all meet and discuss your projects and presentations.
